Divide 20 liters 340 milliliters by 2?
Solution:
When measurements are given as a combination of two units we first convert the bigger unit to a lower unit and then divide.
20 litres 340 millilitres = 20 litres + 340 millilitres
= 20000 milliliters + 340 millilitres
= 20340 millilitres
Now divide 20340 millilitres by 2 = 10170 millilitres
Therefore 10170 millilitres = 10000 millilitres + 170 millilitres = 10 liters 170 millilitres.

Divide 120 liters 34 dl by 8?
Solution:
34 dl = 3.4 litres
120 litres + 3.4 litres = 123.4 litres
123.4 litres divided by 8 = 15.425 = 15 liters 425 dl.
